Wow I had a GREAT week at Albertsons last week. The picture is not that great because you can't really see how much stuff I actually got. It was soo much stuff that I had to stack on top of each other and there were rows of food behind each item. Also some items were not included because my family had already dug into some of the food but you get the idea. Anyways I was really excited w/all the food I got at such a good deal. I had to do 7 transactions to get this great deal but it was definitely worth it!

My dad

This is my dad Cesar Cedeño. Last night he had a massive heart attack and passed away at 2:30 am January 23, 2009. I am still in shock and can't believe he's actually gone. I will miss his sweet smile.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Years everyone! I decided as one of my new year's resolution that I'm finally going to be gung-ho on coupon clipping this year to help us save as much money as we can. I found a bunch of blogs of mamas who dedicate themselves to finding coupons and the best deals out there and I was soo shocked to see how much stuff they buy for so little money. I'm talking HUGE savings!! I've seen some spend out of pocket around $150 and save just over $1,000 in just one month for groceries! Can you believe that? When I saw those numbers I knew that I had to jump in on this coupon craze and start saving like this for our family. I'm going to add links to my favorite bloggers on the side bar in case anyone wants to do this as well! My new favorite store is CVS because you earn CVS bucks for a lot of their products and they practically pay YOU to buy their stuff. I know it sounds crazy but it's true!! I just started yesterday and already saved $19.73 with coupons at CVS and that was w/a few mistakes on my part. I know that once I get more organized and collect more coupons I will be saving at least $100 everytime I make a trip to CVS!!

Cloth Diapers!

In an effort to reduce costs during our hardship in this economy I decided to do some research on cloth diapers. To be honest at first I was really hesitant on cloth diapering because I thought it was going to be too much work and just too gross. But I couldn't bear the thought of spending $80+ a month on diapers that could only be worn once and then thrown away. So I found some really cute pocket cloth diapers and started my stash. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use these, just like regular disposable diapers but sooo much cuter. As I researched these diapers more and more I realized I could make my own. So I came up w/my own pattern and have started making my very own diapers. They are super cute and I can't wait to make more!! So now not only am I saving hundreds of dollars but my kids get to wear really cute diapers!! I'm still working on creating my own patterns in every size but soon I plan to open my own business on etsy.com
