Cloth Diapers!
In an effort to reduce costs during our hardship in this economy I decided to do some research on cloth diapers. To be honest at first I was really hesitant on cloth diapering because I thought it was going to be too much work and just too gross. But I couldn't bear the thought of spending $80+ a month on diapers that could only be worn once and then thrown away. So I found some really cute pocket cloth diapers and started my stash. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use these, just like regular disposable diapers but sooo much cuter. As I researched these diapers more and more I realized I could make my own. So I came up w/my own pattern and have started making my very own diapers. They are super cute and I can't wait to make more!! So now not only am I saving hundreds of dollars but my kids get to wear really cute diapers!! I'm still working on creating my own patterns in every size but soon I plan to open my own business on etsy.com

Our 1st Snow!
I have always wanted to see it snow and finally I got the chance to see it twice!! It snowed some on Monday the 15th and then again on Wed the 17th. On Monday I barely got to see it snow a little because it was mostly snowing by my house and I was at work all day but when I got home I got to see the white roof tops and the car slightly covered. On Wednesday however it snowed a lot even at work and everything was completely covered a few inches. It was sooo exciting to see the snow falling. It was soo beautiful!! I wish it would have happened over the weekend though so I could play w/it and take more pics. But I did get a few pics and here they are:

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm a little late in posting up pictures from Thanksgiving but here they are. It was soo much fun, this year we went to my SIL's (Becky) house in San Bernardino for the week. This was Benji's 1st Thanksgiving and I had 2 outfits for him which I couldn't decide which he should wear. I ended up using both since he had a blow-out in the first one. He looked super cute in both of them!

Gall Bladder Finally Out!
I had my surgery yesterday Friday Oct. 31! I'm soo happy to finally have my gall bladder taken out. This means I can now go back to eating everything!! I have missed eating soo many great foods that had cheese, eggs, butter, good ol' fat! I have liked that this strict diet helped me to lose weight but I'm ready to go back to normal. I'm still a little sore but hopefully soon the pain will be all gone and I'll be better than ever!
Here are a couple pics of Israel & Benji in matching outfits!! Benji is already 2 weeks old and Israel is 19 months!

Meet Baby Benjamin!
Benjamin Nathan was born on Friday Oct 17, 2008 at 9:15 am. He was 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 18 in. It was a pretty quick delivery. I was scheduled for an induction on thursday morning at 11am but it was delayed till 10:30 pm because they ran out of beds. I slowly dialated from a 1 to a 4 overnight and once they broke my water in the morning I went from a 4 to a 10 in like half an hour. It was so fast that I didn't get the chance to have an epidural and it also didn't give the Dr. time to make it for the delivery. It was painful but quick! I had an easy recovery too!
Here is my little bundle of joy!

Like Father Like Son
Love these recent shots of Israel Jacob & Daddy! They are soo alike. Israel is definitely ALL daddy. I wonder what Benjamin will look like, only a few more days till we find out!!

Brrr! It was cold this weekend. It was a nice change of weather from the really hot summer days but the cold came so suddenly. I am happy that I can enjoy the last week of my pregnancy in the cold though.

Tired?
So I'm now 36 weeks pregnant and it's taking a toll on my body. My back has been aching and every so often I move in such a way that I hit a siatic nerve which makes me scream out. I like being pregnant but working at the same time makes it hard. It's been a tough week for me, these work days just seem to last forever. I wish it was friday afternoon so I could go home and relax. The bad part is that I don't think I'll get much rest from here until the delivery because I still have lots to do including working in the baby's room. I've been trying to clear out Israel Jacob's clothes that doesn't fit him and put in all of Benji's clothes and it's been a very slow process. There is clothes EVERYWHERE!! I must complete this before he arrives or else it may never get done. Well this is all for today.

I got it!
I FINALLY got the camera I have been wanting, and it was love at first sight! It's a Nikon D70!! Here are a couple pics of my new love!

I've been trying to learn as much as I can about photography and different settings. I am amazed at how beautiful my pictures are coming out and that I finally don't have to deal with shutter lag. Of course I still have lots more to learn and more to improve but I'm happy with the results so far! Here are a couple of pics I've taken so far.

Updated Belly Shots!
So a lot has happened since I last posted. I had yet another gall stone attack on Aug 26 which put me in the hospital for a couple days. This time the gall stones affected my pancrease and gave me pancreaitis. Thankfully the baby is ok and nothing major happened. I now have to be extra careful w/my diet and I can't cheat anymore. I soooo miss butter, eggs & cheese the most!! But the Dr's said that once I have the baby a few weeks later I will be able to have my gall bladder removed and things should go back to normal! Yay!!
As most of you know my mom will be leaving out of the country soon and I really want her to get a chance to see the baby so I'm trying to get induced a couple weeks early, at 37 1/2 weeks! In order for this to take place my Dr. wants to do an amniocentesis on me to make sure the baby's lungs are developed. I'm a little nervous about this procedure but I really want to do this so please pray that everything goes smoothly and that Benjamin's lungs are fully developed by then!
So this is my pic at 31 weeks (7 months)!

Weekend Update
We were so blessed to have my inlaws come up to Vegas for a week and babysit my son. I am happy to report he behaved better than with his own parents, go figure!! It was nice having them over. On their last day with us (July 3rd) they took us out to Olive Garden for a nice dinner. Here are some shots at the restaurant. Sorry some came out blurry, still trying to learn how to shoot my camera in manual mode.

Well that night I had a gallstone attack, that was not fun. It was so painful I had to go the emergency room where they gave me morphine for the pain. I was out by 3 am. About an hour later I started feeling the pain again, meds must have worn off. But this time I could handle the pain. By 6 am the pain was pretty much gone. The bad part of all of this is that I have to follow a strict diet of no grease which includes fatty meat, eggs, milk and dairy products. Guess this will be a very healthy pregnancy! So 4th of July we didn't really do much, I just rested all day. I wish I could say it ended there. But then Israel started feeling a stomachache around noon. And by 7 pm his pain was excruciating that now he had to go to emergency room. Thankfully nothing was wrong with him and we got to go home that night. So we pretty much started and ended our 4th of July in the hospital. The next day we were all fine so we finally went out as a family to gameworks and played games for a few hours then ended the evening with blockbuster videos. Hopefully next year we will have a better 4th of July!

Walk in the Park
Today we went for a short walk to the park. Baby Israel enjoyed walking the dog (Muñeca). He did very well holding her leash firmly and walking her. After a while he got tired of walking her and wanted to just run around all over the place. He made me break a sweat running after him and gave me a good work out.

I am now 22 weeks! Here is an updated pic of my belly.

Beach Trip!
We went down to LA on a mini trip to the beach this weekend. The weather was soo perfect and the water was nice, not too cold!! We really needed a relaxing weekend like this. I got a chance to tan my white legs that look super white against my husband's and son's skin. LOL! But of course even though I'm getting darker my family is getting darker with me so I guess I'll never catch up to their beautiful skin tone!
Baby Israel had more fun playing with the sand than he did with the water. We had to sit with him and hug him tightly for him to relax and not be afraid of the water. The only water he feels comfortable with at this time is the water from the bath tub! In fact he loves it soo much I just experienced his first tantrum for taking him out of the tub!! Here are a few pics from the beach.
The following picture is my favorite of Baby Israel. This boy definitely has a personality. He loves to make silly faces. Lately he's been doing the cutest face by squeezing his hands and his eyes. I finally captured his silly face. We call this expression "ojitos". Enjoy!
